Students

One of the key aims of the engCETL is to engage in research, development, and the design of the engineering curriculum to enhance the student learning experience.

The engCETL seeks to:

  • Integrate student input and focus into the activities of the centre
  • Increase and improve student interaction with industry
  • Develop employment skills for students

Whilst a student focus pervades all the activities of the engCETL, the centre engages in specific initiatives in order to further the above objectives.

The engCETL values views and opinions from students using the engCETL.  Please let us know if you have any suggestions concerning improvements to the student learning experience including facilities and equipment that you believe would benefit the needs of engineering students.

The engCETL is currently funding six 3-year research studentships in areas of mutual interest to the centre and the engCETL departments and the profiles for each of our six research students can be viewed.

Student Representatives are a vital group for the engCETL.  The group represents students from each of the seven engCETL departments and their role is to advise the engCETL and to draw the centre's attention to issues emerging from students.
