'Snip' is a small application wizard and online tutorial for creating module web pages on Loughborough University's Learn server.

Snip is intended for staff who have little or no experience in developing web pages but wish to quickly and easily create module web pages on the Learn server that link to module learning resources, using templates that comply with SENDA legislation. This web site has been divided up into two routes to developing module web pages, depending upon your experience:

Route 1. Create your basic pages
This section guides staff on how to use Snip to create basic module web pages for Learn. This quick start guide exists for staff:
  • with little or no experience of developing web pages
  • wish to create basic module web pages quickly and easily
  • do not intend on making updates throughout the academic year
Route 2. Using contribute to add more content
This section guides staff on how to use Macromedia Contribute to use it to add more content to your module web pages. These guidelines exist for staff who:
  • may have created basic pages using Snip and wish to modify the pages further
  • may have some experience in creating web pages, but do not wish to use other web authoring tools (such as Microsoft FrontPage or DreamWeaver)
  • want the flexibility of adding content and updating it regularly through the academic year, but do not want to worry about colour schemes and navigation
