ASTutE-Chem is a computer based tutorial system on chemical engineering process balances. It enables the user to set up a flowsheet, label it, choose basis, solve and balance units and check answers. This is an Authorware based courseware.
The user has access to a selection of carefully chosen tutoral questions and they are expected to answer the questions in a logical order.
The interactivity of this software includes building up of a process flow diagram and checking of entered answers with instant feedback.
Numeric answer parsing code written by Dr Nathan Scott of the University of Western Australia. Math dialog box written by Dr M.H.Beilby of the University of Birmingham. Additions in version 2.1 by Marco Valdivia and Keval Nakeshree.
