'Hands On' is an online guide to using digital video and audio in your teaching. It is split into two main sections. The first section takes you through the 10 generic steps of the entire process of producing digital video or audio.

These include:
  1. Decide on your objectives
  2. Plan the type of shots you want
  3. Choose your equipment
  4. Shoot the movie
  5. Capture the move onto your PC
  6. Choosing and using editing software
  7. Compressing and choosing a file format
  8. Integrating into teaching resources
  9. Delivering your movie
  10. Aftercare and Maintenance
The following section gives 5 real life examples that follow these steps and shows you the completed piece of work.

The site also provides lots of links to more detailed information about each step, but also provides a quick check list so that you can quickly get a grasp of what's involved in each step of the way.
