Upgrades to Placement Website.

The Wolfson School operates a Placement Website (http://www.mmdis.lboro.ac.uk/) , originally developed by engCETL, which has proved to be excellent for providing information to students and visiting tutors.  This project would upgrade or replace the website to a new specification, based upon users’ experiences since its development.  It could also be extended to all departments in the university that wish to manage student placements online.

The new site will be developed within the University VLE, Learn

Progress: 30%

Original website has been maintained to continue availability of the online resources for the current year. We are currently looking into reasons why each new edit to the original pages generate errors.

Functionality within Learn has been investigated to find the most appropriate method to restrict access to specific resources (required for this site).

Discussions about how the new site is to be structured have taken place, and have been implemented in new modules on Learn. Currently with the DIS team to view where the current information sits in the new structure.
