Flexible and Distributed Learning with the WEDC

Date: October, 2009

Proposed By: Brian Reed

Staff Contacts: Nicola Wilkinson and Duncan Stanley

One of WEDC's primary aims is to train water supply and sanitation specialists from low-income countries in the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively undertake their work. One of the main barriers to this is lack of funding. Many of the people we would like to help just cannot afford to benefit from the training we can offer and this limits our impact world wide. We are therefore constantly looking for new opportunities for disseminating our knowledge in different, cost-effective ways so that more people can benefit.
