Enhancing student engagement in computer programming

The aim is for students to engage in computer programming and to appreciate the importance of learning programming and teh relevance to industry.  

The project will look at changing the teaching methodology, which could include innovative methods which have been successful elsewhere. The project will also involve deeveloping dialogue with academics who have had recent success in engaging engineering students in computer programming.

Looked at existing practice to enhance student motivation in programming and understanding of industry relevance, in the UK through EngSC reports, and the US through journals.
