This is an interactive modelling tool that facilitates the evaluation of benefits arising from use of Standardisation and Pre-assembly within building construction industry. The model will identify the factors that need to be considered in such an assessment, the data required to assess the effect of these factors, and where the required data resides within the supply chain. Visual Basic front end of this software communicates with an Access database to filter and display the results based on selection and sorting criteria given by the user.

Further details about the project being investigated could be added and saved with selected data for future retrieval.

The data selected from the database will be sorted and the number of records under each category will be displayed so the user could easily examine a set of records matching specific needs. These sorted data could be saved for future retrieval.

By clicking on the relevant button, the user can the full details given in each selected record. The user is then given the opportunity to decide the level of importance of the record and decide whether the record is required at all. There is also the facility to add comments to a record.
