Main Objectives of the Project
This project involved updating the existing CAL software 'History of Architecture' (on the university CAL launcher) by extending the historical periods, incorporate more of the design and material aspects of architecture, and improve the textual and graphical information available. The software is used at present to teach the evolution of architectural aspects throughout history to first year civil engineering students.
This new version of the software can now be used over the web and embedded into module web pages on LEARN. There is also a stand alone application that the academic can use to administer the software and add more building information in the future.
