The aim of this project was to: provide faster and more timely feedback to students on the Electronic and Electrical Engineering module 07ELA004 ‘Signals and Systems’, through developing assessment methods using Matlab to reduce the marking time for coursework, whilst also providing high quality individualised feedback.

A series of interactive laboratory classes were developed using the quiz and lesson features in moodle and run with students in academic year 2008/9. We also developed a series of programming tasks together with a Matlab interface to automatically mark a series of Matlab functions submitted by the students.
