Enhancement of Industry-based teaching in IPTME

Brief Description of Proposal.
The application refers to a proposal to upgrade some elements of teaching and student resources in IPTME, in line with the overall strategies (“linking education with industry”) on which the CETL initiative is based. For the current round of funding, these will include initiatives to upgrade and to introduce into IPTME web-based resources associated with DIS industrial placements (undergraduate students) and Personal Development Portfolios (all registered students, including postgraduate and part-time, industry-based students).

The engCETL themes to which this application is aligned are: (1) Sandwich / work placements; (2) skills development for industry.
