After graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in History & Sociology I studied at Leicester Business School and gained an MA in Personnel and Development, along with accreditation to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. In 1998 I joined Loughborough University’s Manufacturing Engineering department as a Research Associate, looking at the issue of trust in the era of virtual organisations.

In 2002 I began work at the Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce as the Policy Assistant, championing the voice of business in local government and strategic committees and managing the Nottinghamshire Chamber’s employment and economic surveys. In 2004 I took up a position on the support staff of a Nottinghamshire school, managing the exams and assessment department, before joining engCETL at the beginning of 2006.

My role as Academic Coordinator involves working closely with the other engCETL staff to develop and disseminate activities and support academics within the engCETL departments and, as the engCETL develops, to other Loughborough University departments.
